Ludovic Marimoutou

Born on April 11, 1989 in Cayenne (French Guiana), I am a contemporary painter who has followed an atypical path. I have always brought an artistic touch to my daily practices that became a completely natural and spontaneous habit.

Self-taught and intuitive, I explore through my works the sensitive areas of being, invisible memories, and the echoes of the living. My painting, often instinctive, mixes poetic abstraction and suggested symbols, in a search for raw emotion and inner connection.

Inspired by nature, the vibrations of places, inhabited silences and human encounters, I compose canvases as one leaves a mark: hollow, in movement, in resonance.

Each painting is an invitation to travel, a bridge between the visible and the invisible, between oneself and the world.

Artistic Exploration

I define myself as a "free" artist who does not follow any artistic movement or model. My works are the reflection of my lived experiences, my emotions, my inspirations at the moment; thus revealing a spontaneous personality who does not necessarily seek to please or to make "beautiful" but above all, to create a story in which the spectator can find himself and be touched by his feelings. It is moreover these reactions which touch me sensitively.
